A young football supporter had a prime view of Fleetwood Town defeating Arsenal after cameras caught him watching the cup upset from his bedroom window. The Premier League champions exited the Carabao Cup fourth round on penalties following a 5-3 defeat against the League Two side in one of the tournament's biggest surprises.

Aaron Loupalo-Bi opened the scoring for the Cod Army before Viktor Gyokeres equalised for the visitors. The match proceeded to a penalty shootout after Max Dowman received a late red card, allowing Matt Lawlor's squad to overcome Mikel Arteta's team.

Viewers spotted the youngster taking in the action without needing a match ticket. Fleetwood's Highbury Stadium sits within a residential neighborhood, with the ground backing onto terraced houses.

Spectators expressed amazement at the casual setup on social media. One user on X wrote, "Some kid is literally watching Fleetwood vs Arsenal from his bedroom window." Another posted, "If I was the kid I'll sell the tickets for a window view." A third stated the supporter had "the best seats in the house." A fourth joked, "Did they ask permission to play football in his back garden?" Another added, "Incredible, he was part of football history for that game!"

The evening proved difficult for Arsenal, concluding with normal time ending after Dowman received a red card for appearing to kick out at Harrison Neal. Arteta faced criticism for appearing angry toward the 16-year-old player. When questioned about his remarks to the teenager, the Spanish manager stated, "It was something that we discussed before the game." He added, "I haven't seen [the incident] with the camera. You can't really see what happens. The decision was made by the referee and that's it."

Gunners former player Paul Merson criticized Arteta's reaction and supported the teenager. Merson stated, "You've got to remember he's 16, he's a kid. If that [was] Gyokeres [who had been sent off], he's not doing that. But he does that to a 16-year-old kid." Merson concluded, "He's a talent, but also a human being. For me, I would have put my arm around him. For me, that's a classic moment."
