NationPulse works hard to get every fact right. When we make a mistake, we put it right quickly, openly and without fuss. Being honest about our errors is an essential part of earning and keeping our readers' trust.

Our commitment

  • We correct significant errors as soon as they are confirmed.
  • We are transparent about what changed and when.
  • We do not quietly rewrite stories to hide mistakes.
  • Every correction request is reviewed by an editor.

Corrections, clarifications and updates

  • Correction: when we publish a factual error, such as a wrong name, figure, date, quote or claim, we fix it in the article and add a note at the end explaining what was wrong and when it was corrected.
  • Clarification: when a story is accurate but could be misunderstood, or missed important context, we add or rewrite the relevant text and include a clarification note.
  • Update: when a developing story changes because new information becomes available, we update it and show the time of the update. An update is not a correction, because the original information was accurate at the time.
  • Minor fixes: spelling, grammar, typing and formatting errors that do not change the meaning of a story are fixed without a note.

Serious errors

If an error is serious, for example if it is unfair to a person or organisation or changes the central point of a story, an editor may also revise the headline and summary, publish a correction notice in a prominent position and correct any social media posts that shared the error. In rare cases where a story cannot be corrected, it may be withdrawn, with a note explaining why.

How quickly we act

We aim to review every correction request within 24 hours. Where an error is confirmed, we correct it as soon as possible after it has been verified. Complex cases that need further reporting may take longer, and we will keep you informed.

How to report an error

If you believe we have published something inaccurate, please email contact@nationpulse.uk or use our Contact page and include:

  • the link to the article or post;
  • the specific statement you believe is wrong;
  • the correct information, and any evidence or documents that support it;
  • your contact details, in case we need to follow up.

If you are not satisfied

If you are unhappy with our response, reply to the editor who handled your request and ask for the matter to be reviewed by a senior editor. We will review the case independently and give you our final decision in writing.
