Readers have a right to know who is behind the news they read and how it is paid for. This page explains who owns NationPulse, how we are funded and how we protect the independence of our journalism.
Ownership
NationPulse is an independent digital news publisher with offices in Islamabad, Pakistan and London, United Kingdom. We are privately owned and are not owned, controlled or funded by any government, political party, religious organisation or lobby group.
How we are funded
Our journalism is funded by commercial revenue:
- Advertising: display advertising on the Website, including ads served by advertising networks such as Google AdSense.
- Sponsored content: articles and placements paid for by advertisers, which are always clearly labelled as Sponsored.
- Newsletter and social media partnerships: advertising placements in our newsletter and promoted posts on our social media channels, always marked as paid.

Editorial independence
Our editors decide what we cover and how we cover it, without interference from our owners, advertisers or commercial partners.
- Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over our news coverage, and paying for advertising never buys favourable coverage.
- Commercial and editorial decisions are kept separate.
- Paid content is always labelled and kept visually distinct from our journalism.
- When we report on a company or organisation that advertises with us, we cover it to the same standards as any other.
What we do not accept
- Funding from governments, political parties or candidates in return for coverage.
- Payment in return for publishing, changing or removing news stories.
- Advertising that is misleading, unlawful or conflicts with our standards.
Our team
Our stories are written and edited by our newsroom team. Each article shows the name of its author, linked to their author page, so readers can see who is responsible for our journalism. Our standards are set out in our Editorial Policy and Ethics Policy.
