During Pinktober Breast Cancer Awareness month, Bank Alfalah Legends Arena teamed up with TAMS to back a padel competition. Women and young players gathered on 17 October 2026 for the event, which aimed to boost breast cancer awareness and foster community involvement through athletics.

This competition follows previous health support campaigns by Bank Alfalah. The institution committed PKR 14.6 million in 2025 to help 37 breast cancer patients receive medical care via alliances with Indus Hospital and Health Network and Cancer Foundation Hospital, covering tests, surgeries, and treatments for those in financial need.

Back in 2024, Bank Alfalah joined forces with Roche Pakistan and Cancer Foundation Hospital, giving a total of PKR 10.75 million to fund medicine and care for five patients. Medical awareness sessions during Pinktober have also been organized by the bank alongside groups like Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Chughtai Lab, and the Samina Alvi Foundation.

Mehreen Ahmed, who serves as Group Head of Retail Banking at Bank Alfalah and joined the padel matches, highlighted why physical activity matters for women and how finding the disease early saves lives.

"Staying active is essential for women's mental and physical health. In Pakistan, 1 in 9 women are at risk of developing breast cancer in their lifetime, which can be avoided. An early detection of this can save lives. Having cancer is a devastating condition for both the patients and their families, and clearly much more effort is required to arrest this," she stated.

"We should come forward not only to create awareness but also to work towards early detection of breast cancer. I am proud to be part of a Caring Bank that supports initiatives benefiting our communities," she added.

Sports serve as the vehicle for this competition to drive breast cancer education and public engagement. Proceeds from the event also aided Indus Hospital's Al-Hasna program focused on early screening and medical care for the disease.

Bank Alfalah maintains its commitment to breast cancer education, treatment access, and women's health activities throughout Pakistan through medical collaborations and community projects.
