TransPeshawar has announced that NADRA biometric verification and registration are now compulsory for every Zu Card holder, giving travelers until December 31, 2026, to finish the procedure.
Cards that remain unregistered will be deactivated starting January 1, 2027, and will no longer be accepted for rides on the Zu Peshawar network.
People can complete registration at ticket counters in any BRT station during normal hours, provided they bring their original CNIC and Zu Card. Staff will capture their information, perform the biometric check, and finish the registration for a charge of Rs. 10.
Passengers younger than 18 may register using either their B Form or a parent's or guardian's CNIC. If using a B Form, the child must present the Zu Card, the B Form, and undergo biometric verification.
When registering with a parent's or guardian's CNIC, the child must hand over the Zu Card and the adult must show their original CNIC, while the parent or guardian also appears for the biometric process.
International visitors can ride by purchasing Single Journey Tickets or by using the Zu App.
TransPeshawar CEO Dr. Syed Murtaza Asghar Bukhari said the identity verification will boost security and make travel safer and more organized.
He advised riders to complete registration early to prevent travel interruptions and long queues at counters near the deadline.
