The Capital Development Authority revoked the approved layout plan for Tele Town Housing Scheme located in Zone-5, Islamabad. Officials pointed to the developer ignoring approval conditions for over three years.
A public notice released by the Directorate of Housing Societies at the CDA stated that the layout plan for the 499.50-kanal project, backed by Tele Town (Pvt.) Ltd., received approval on March 24, 2023, under specific terms.
Between March 2023 and November 2024, the authority sent multiple notices instructing the developer to meet all approval demands. The company received final chances to justify why authorities should not cancel the layout plan in May and December 2025.
The CDA noted that the sponsor did not take any practical measures to follow the instructions. Consequently, the organization cancelled the layout plan immediately, citing relevant Islamabad zoning and private housing scheme rules.
Citizens should check the approval status of housing projects with the CDA prior to buying plots, homes, or other real estate, according to the agency. The authority cautioned that it bears no liability for issues resulting from investments in unapproved projects lacking a no-objection certificate.
Additionally, the public notice cautioned developers, builders, marketing agents, estate agencies, and other groups against illegal building or development work, noting that breaches will result in legal proceedings.
