Pakistan International Airlines is updating its inflight style by introducing a brand new cabin crew uniform line created by prominent fashion designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin.
This new collection represents a modern update for the national carrier under its new management team, focusing on both passenger comfort and crew members.
Pakistan International Airlines has a history of working with top designers. French designer Pierre Cardin created an A-line tunic and hood for the airline in 1966. British royal designer Sir Hardy Amies updated the look in the 1970s, and Nomi Ansari provided uniform designs used for the past 12 years.
Designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin now takes over this responsibility, bringing international experience and local textile expertise to the project.
"Designing for our national flag carrier is about capturing our collective pride and the genuine warmth of Pakistani hospitality," said Hassan Sheheryar Yasin. "We wanted uniforms that our crew feel extraordinarily confident and comfortable apparel that respect our heritage, reflect modern fashion, and tell our story beautifully in every airport across the globe."
The garments use breathable materials combined with structured tailoring, designed for durability on long flights and ease of movement.
The final designs were chosen after a competitive presentation in Karachi, where 10 designers showed their concepts to a jury of fashion leaders.
"Passengers won't have to wait long to experience the new visual identity. The collection makes its official skyward debut on October 31, 2026, aboard PIA's inaugural Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flight from London to Islamabad, signaling a fresh chapter of comfort, sophistication, and national pride connecting Pakistan to the world", said PIA's Spokesperson.
