Plans to back female-led technology enterprises and micro-entrepreneurs through specialized startup guidance and yearly digital training sessions were released by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
At least 20 women-run startups will receive assistance every year via the planned Women Innovation and Startup Empowerment (WISE) Lab, according to the ministry, enabling founders to build commercial concepts, enhance market viability, and grow their involvement in the technology industry of Pakistan.
An annual target of 200 female micro-entrepreneurs will also receive instruction to boost their capability in using digital tools and tech-based business methods, under the strategy.
Operations, customer reach, and digital marketplace exploration will improve for small businesses run by women through this educational effort.
Obstacles preventing women from entering tech entrepreneurship, such as scarce access to proper skills, business contacts, and formal backing, are targeted by these suggested actions.
The ministry intends to assist women in converting technical know-how and commercial concepts into lasting businesses by providing specialized innovation assistance and entrepreneurship instruction.
These programs belong to wider initiatives that expand female involvement in growing technologies and tech-based economic work, alongside generating further chances for women to build technology companies and support the digital economy of Pakistan.
