Iran Air resumed its Quetta-Zahedan flight on Tuesday, reopening a route intended to aid trade, business cooperation and travel between Pakistan and Iran. The airline's flight IRA 0827 landed at Quetta International Airport from Zahedan, then returned to the Iranian city with more than 80 passengers on board.

In a related meeting, Haji Hakim Regi, president of the Zahedan Chamber of Commerce, met with members of Quetta's business community to discuss expanding bilateral trade, forming commercial partnerships and improving cooperation between traders of the two nations.

The revived service is seen as a way to simplify travel for businesspeople, traders and other travelers, while reinforcing economic ties between Balochistan and Iran.

Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhail inaugurated Iran Air's routes linking Quetta with Zahedan and Mashhad in December 2025. The flights were later halted due to the prevailing international situation.
