Authorities pushed the deadline by one month, requiring passengers flying from Karachi Airport to Saudi Arabia, which includes Umrah pilgrims, to present vaccination proof starting at 10am on November 20.

The mandate was previously scheduled to begin on October 15, which would have resulted in travellers lacking a vaccination card being blocked from their flights.

A circular states that passengers need to receive their vaccination at least 10 days prior to their flight. A government dispensary located at the airport provides round-the-clock vaccination services.

Emergency doses were also supplied at the departure lounge of Karachi Airport for pilgrims and passengers arriving from distant regions.
