Two traffic signals along Shahra-e-Quaideen are slated for removal by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, which will also construct U-turns to better vehicle movement.
Tariq Mughal, who serves as the KMC Director General of Engineering, stated that preparation work for this scheme has arrived at its concluding phase. The intended modifications will create a signal-free corridor extending up to the Society Office.
Officials will set up one U-turn ahead of Allah Wali Chowrangi and a second one positioned between Allah Wali Chowrangi and Noorani Chowrangi according to the blueprint.
Drivers moving from Shahra-e-Faisal in the direction of Mazar-e-Quaid will experience smoother journeys since the two disrupting lights are getting removed.
The traffic light situated close to Khudadad Colony will stay active, which keeps that specific portion from turning fully free of signals.
