To tackle a shortage of staff, Lahore traffic police will bring in more than 200 traffic officers from different districts. A circular from the traffic police headquarters ordered the transfer of constables and traffic assistants to Lahore from districts like Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Sahiwal.
Sialkot will send 20 officers to Lahore, while Sheikhupura, Kasur, and other areas will contribute 10 to 15 officers each, based on the circular. All relevant districts must ensure personnel report without delay at Traffic Police Lines Manawan.
Authorities stated that these deployed officers will rotate monthly, with fresh personnel arriving from the respective districts to take their place. District Police Officers must release the personnel right away for Lahore, while Punjab Highway Patrol officers will fill in locally.
The Punjab Highway Patrol headquarters received instructions to supply the roster of deployed officers as well.
