The Pakistan Single Window and the Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company finalized a Memorandum of Understanding to educate horticulture processors and exporters on using digital trade platforms.

Workshops, webinars, and training sessions focusing on regulatory requirements, documentation, system navigation, and PSW registration will be organized through the partnership. These educational programs will connect such procedures directly to the everyday export activities of horticulture enterprises. Sector engagement will be spearheaded by PHDEC, which operates as a government-owned body under the Ministry of Commerce.

Enabling exporters to independently handle trade procedures and PSW registrations serves as a primary goal. Furthermore, the efforts will address privacy and data protection so companies can maintain authority over confidential commercial data.

Syed Aftab Haider, the CEO of PSW, stated that the value of digital infrastructure relies on how well companies can operate it. According to him, the alliance bridges PSW trade facilitation tools with the requirements of the horticulture industry, turning digitalization into a functional driver for export capability and market competition.

Muhammad Naseer, CEO of PHDEC, noted that equipping horticulture firms for global markets demands a solid grasp of export procedures. He mentioned that the collaboration merges digital trade expertise with industry knowledge, assisting processors and exporters in tackling operational hurdles more confidently.

Additionally, the alliance will establish a formal mechanism to spot industry-specific obstacles regarding digital adoption and build aligned solutions. Both organizations will deliver support concerning operational challenges tied to PSW and investigate information sharing following the Trade Data Sharing and Exchange Policy of PSW.

Implementation will be managed by joint working groups featuring balanced representation from each organization, which will track progress, evaluate results periodically, and coordinate execution.
