Multan police launched an official investigation against three unknown armed men following a report from a local woman who stated she was raped while journeying with her husband and two small children.
The husband of the victim filed the formal report regarding the incident that took place late the prior night.
Based on his statement, the family spent the evening at a birthday party for his cousin's son. Three armed individuals on a motorcycle lacking a registration plate intercepted them close to Wan Chhatta at approximately 11pm during their return trip.
The husband explained to officers that one individual aimed a firearm at his spouse while a second kept the children covered by a gun. Subsequently, one of the perpetrators dragged the woman away from the roadway into a forested section and committed the rape.
He mentioned that local residents arrived at the location after he sounded an alarm, which caused the attackers to escape.
At the same time, Multan City Police Officer Akhtar Farooq verified that the event took place the prior night. He noted that the woman completed a medical checkup, and officials dispatched specimens to a Lahore facility for laboratory testing.
