National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Lt Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmed Butt stated on Monday that offenses lack an expiration date, meaning illegal acts will face scrutiny and perpetrators will face prosecution.
He noted that individuals guilty of illegal acts will not manage to evade justice by fleeing abroad.
According to the NAB Chairman, the bureau has focused on securing recoveries instead of merely filing numerous court references and carrying out arrests.
The head of the bureau added that NAB is getting ready to pursue corruption in the power sector, mines and minerals, and auqaf departments, while also preparing to confront powerful figures.
An investor protection committee was established to handle grievances from business backers who felt unprotected.
Finally, the chairman urged a reduction in the Rs. 500 million threshold for NAB intervention to broaden the agency jurisdiction and speed up the eradication of corruption.
