The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency asked the Punjab Police for 300 officers and personnel to serve on deputation. The agency director general cleared the request before a formal letter went to the Punjab inspector general.

The agency needs 30 deputy superintendents of police, 30 inspectors, 115 sub-inspectors, 25 assistant sub-inspectors, and 100 head constables and constables, according to the letter.

Officials already sent a roster naming 107 officers and personnel to the NCCIA. The agency asked for the remaining 193 personnel to arrive on deputation quickly.

Both male and female police personnel qualify for the roles. The letter notes that applicants must stay under 48 years old, remain physically fit, and possess a minimum educational qualification of BA or ICS.

The agency also demanded honest officers and personnel with A-grade service records. Anyone who received a major punishment, faces an active inquiry, or deals with a criminal case cannot qualify for deputation.
