Authorities have finished building a fresh food street containing 39 shops for an expense of Rs. 800 million, handing out all locations via an open balloting system.
The draw happened under the watchful eyes of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ikram Malik, MNA Chaudhry Riazul Haq Juj, alongside MPA Mian Muhammad Munir. Muhammad Saleem Chishti, who serves as the Municipal Committee Administrator and Additional Deputy Commissioner for General affairs, ran the proceedings.
Situated right beside the District Courts Complex, the dining strip comes equipped with vibrant lamps, canopies, plus safety grills designed to keep children and visitors secure.
Out of the total 39 units, authorities set aside 10 spaces for women, 19 locations for regular citizens, and 10 spots for vendors selling local branded eats, such as sweets. The area will sell multiple foods, featuring kulfi, gol gappay, ice gola, pizza, mutton karahi, chicken karahi, drinks, tea, plus coffee.
Officials established the monthly rent at Rs. 5,000 for compact spaces and Rs. 7,500 for bigger ones. Management will not charge any rent for the initial two months to motivate proprietors to launch their businesses.
