Saudi authorities said that more than 21.6 million people visited the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah during September 2026, underscoring the site's ongoing draw for worshippers and tourists worldwide.

In that month, 1,449,791 individuals prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, a key section of the mosque.

Wayfinding services helped 355,130 visitors find their way around the complex, and guest care centres assisted 287,886 guests.

The mosque's library recorded 81,243 visitors, while exhibitions on Islamic history and heritage attracted 137,867 people.

These numbers illustrate Saudi Arabia's continued push to upgrade visitor amenities, offer clear guidance and meet worshippers' needs.

By expanding services and assistance, officials aim to keep the environment peaceful and comfortable for prayer, study and spiritual reflection at one of Islam's most sacred locations.
