This upward movement in the standings comes after Pakistan defeated England by 87 runs on Tuesday, driven by an exceptional performance from all-rounder Arafat Minhas.

Minhas contributed 59 runs from 58 balls and then recorded career-best bowling figures of 6/40, helping Pakistan prolong its winning run in the competition.

After batting first and slipping to 81-4, Pakistan bounced back to finish their innings at 302-9. Hasan Nawaz led the team with 79 runs off 74 balls, Saad Baig chipped in with 35 runs, and Faheem Ashraf added 39 runs from 26 balls to boost the total.

England responded by getting bowled out for 215 runs, even though Tom Banton scored 57 and Ben Duckett made 45.

Minhas spearheaded the bowling effort by dismissing important batters like Will Jacks and Adil Rashid on successive deliveries, alongside running out Gus Atkinson to wrap up a strong all-round match.

Pakistan plans to keep up its winning form throughout the tri-series to improve its standing in the ODI rankings.
