The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony issued a travel advisory urging Pakistani pilgrims heading to Iran and Iraq to verify flight schedules and arrange alternative travel options to prevent disruptions.

A ministry spokesperson said pilgrims need to confirm their reservations, especially with Iranian airlines, before departure. Those traveling from Tehran or Mashhad to Najaf were told not to rely on unconfirmed flights and to secure backup plans ahead of time.

The ministry also recommended travelers carry enough cash to cover alternative air or land transport between the two nations, as well as extra costs for lodging and meals if cancellations or emergencies occur.

Registered Ziarat Group Organizers (ZGOs) have been instructed to avoid planning trips based on unconfirmed Iranian flights and to ensure every pilgrim receives the advisory before leaving.
