Pakistan Medical and Dental Council officials announced that academic thresholds for MBBS and BDS enrollment remain unchanged, pushing back against online rumors regarding altered admission standards.
Online discussions prompted an official statement from the council specifying that applicants need a minimum of 60% in FSc Pre-Medical or an equivalent test to be eligible for medical and dental schools nationwide.
According to the council, admission guidelines enforce the 60% intermediate score threshold for all public and private medical and dental institutions, and applicants must satisfy all other regulatory standards.
Media reports sparked the council to address the entry requirements. Officials stressed that current policies remain active without any modifications.
This directive governs MBBS and BDS admissions across the country, confirming the baseline academic criteria students need for medical and dental applications.
