Application Process and Details

The Punjab government has started accepting submissions for the upcoming round of the Honhaar Scholarship Program, granting students at approved colleges and universities access to financial aid. November 9, 2026 marks the final date for online form submissions.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz revealed the new cycle, noting that past efforts aided 160,000 learners across 70 fields. She encouraged pupils to pursue their studies and use the current scholarship phase.

This fresh round includes individuals starting degrees in Fall 2026 alongside those currently enrolled at approved public institutions, though criteria for household earnings, school types, and grades vary across groups.

Who Can Apply?

All candidates must possess a Punjab domicile, with no restrictions regarding age or gender, provided they meet specific academic, financial, and enrollment standards.

First-semester and first-year students - Fall 2026

Candidates must study approved subjects at participating public universities and colleges, medical and dental institutions, HED colleges, or partnered federal and private higher education centers.

Individuals beginning MBBS or BDS studies in 2026 also qualify.

Monthly household earnings thresholds stand at:

  • Public-sector institutions: Less than Rs. 350,000.
  • Partner federal and private institutions: Less than Rs. 500,000.

Candidates must submit a household earnings affidavit on e-stamp paper.

Second-semester and second-year students onward

Returning scholars must attend designated programs at approved public universities, medical and dental schools, or HED colleges.

Their monthly household earnings must stay below Rs. 350,000, verified by an e-stamp paper affidavit.

Phase IV excludes learners at private and federal institutions from this tier.

Minimum Marks for New Students

First-year and first-semester applicants must achieve specific intermediate or FSc marks:

  • Public-sector universities and colleges: 70 percent for sciences, 65 percent for arts.
  • Public medical and dental colleges - MBBS/BDS: 80 percent for sciences, not applicable for arts.
  • Federal and private universities: 70 percent for sciences, 65 percent for arts.
  • HED colleges: 65 percent for sciences, 60 percent for arts.

The 60 percent rule for HED colleges applies to social sciences and arts.

Merit scores for new learners allocate 70 percent to intermediate results and 30 percent to matric outcomes.

Academic Requirements for Continuing Students

Returning applicants need specific GPA, annual exam equivalents, or CGPA scores:

  • Eligible public-sector universities and colleges: 70 percent for sciences, 65 percent for arts.
  • HED colleges: 70 percent for sciences, 65 percent for arts.

How to Apply

  • Open the official portal: Go to the Honhaar Scholarship portal and pick Login to set up or access a profile.
  • Create an account: Input registration details, such as college or university, email, password, and CNIC. Provide an accurate personal CNIC without dashes or spaces, as using someone else's ID leads to disqualification.

  • Check eligibility and download the affidavit: Review rules and grab the sample earnings affidavit document from the platform.
  • Complete personal details: Type in personal data, degree name, subject, student registration number, admission date, household earnings, and domicile while uploading your picture.
  • Enter address and education details: Fill out permanent and mailing addresses, then input intermediate and matric academic history, using Save and Continue for every section.
  • Upload supporting documents: Attach necessary files in the proper size and format, verifying that scans remain legible.
  • Review the application: Check all details and uploaded files prior to proceeding.
  • Press Submit: Simply saving or checking the form does not finish the procedure, requiring users to click Submit to officially apply.

Following a successful submission, a confirmation notice appears, generating an application ID and displaying the application status, allowing candidates to print or store their final form.
