Redmi has released the Redmi Band 4 quietly in China, with purchases beginning today. This fresh fitness band follows the 2024 Redmi Band 3, introducing updates to its build, glass cover, and power capacity.

Design and Display

The Redmi Band 4 includes a metal-textured frame, a unibody build, and 2.5D curved cover glass.

The screen spans 1.47 inches and handles a 60Hz refresh rate.

Redmi also introduced a vertical pattern on the band and changed the pin-style clasp so the device stays secure during exercise and daily wear.

Fitness and Health Tracking

The Band 4 includes continuous stress monitoring, heart rate observation, blood oxygen checks, sleep monitoring, and women's health tracking.

The stress monitoring function follows daily fluctuations.

Buyers also receive 50 sports modes, including running, cycling, and table tennis.

The fitness band holds a 5ATM water-resistance rating.

Beyond health tracking, the Band 4 shows message alerts, sets alarms, and lets users change watch faces.

Within China, it handles transactions through WeChat and Alipay QR codes.

Battery Life

Redmi estimates the Band 4 can run for up to 21 days on a single charge, exceeding the Redmi Band 3 maximum of 18 days by three days.

When standard tracking tools stay turned on, power endurance drops to about eight days.

Real-world performance will consequently rely on active tracking settings.

Redmi Band 4 Drops NFC

NFC is one function left out of the latest device.

While the Redmi Band 3 included NFC for offline transactions in China, Redmi omits NFC listings for the Band 4.

The Redmi Band line debuted in 2020 at an initial price of 99 yuan.

The fresh Redmi Band 4 sells for 169 yuan, roughly $25, which sits slightly above the Redmi Band 3 introductory price of 159 yuan.
