Saudi carriers Saudia and Riyadh Air added extra flights toward Pakistan to assist travelers stranded following the closure of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which disrupted normal air travel.
Extra services will run on October 21 and 22 via Riyadh Air, linking Jeddah with Islamabad and Lahore. Two additional flights to Pakistan were also scheduled by Saudia, targeting Islamabad and Peshawar.
Wednesday, October 21 marks the date for the first flight, and the timing for the second service will be shared later. Travelers dealing with cancellations from the ongoing disruption can use these extra options, according to Riyadh Air.
Seat availability permits passengers holding tickets from alternative airlines to qualify as well. Official website visits allow travelers to handle bookings and find more details.
Mustafa Rabbani, Pakistan Consul General, stated to Urdu News that the Jeddah Consulate offers guidance and support to stranded citizens impacted by the airport shutdown. Embassy and consulate staff assisted Saudia in moving stranded Pakistanis by road from Riyadh to Jeddah, where the airline provided meals and lodging.
Open seats allowed travelers to board flights progressively. Affected Pakistanis gain extra choices through the two newly added Saudia flights.
