Sindh Secretariat workers will see their house rent allowance climb from 50% to 85% starting July 1, 2026, following protests.
Protests by the employees association known as SENWA led the Sindh government to lift the house rent allowance for Sindh Secretariat workers from 50% to 85%.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah cleared the hike, set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
This adjustment matches the house rent allowance rates used across other provinces for secretariat personnel.
Staff will get the updated payment in four yearly installments, sent straight to their bank accounts every three months under the new system.
Sindh Secretariat employees will receive higher house rent allowance payments deposited directly into their bank accounts every three months starting July 1, 2026.
The house rent allowance has been increased from 50% to 85%.
The increase will be effective from July 1, 2026.
