Sharjeel Inam Memon announced that the Sindh administration is reaching out to over 100 businesses to broaden job and internship prospects for students and degree holders.

The initiative, known as the I Work for Sindh platform, connects youth with hiring organizations while matching their abilities to industry needs, according to Memon.

Statistics provided by Memon show that the portal has drawn over 5.19 million visits, registered 136,547 job seekers, and engaged 721 corporate partners.

Employers have listed 31,270 positions on the site, with 24,766 currently open, and applicants have sent in 473,339 total submissions. Officials clarified that these numbers reflect listed openings and applications instead of verified hires.

Memon noted that authorities are also prioritizing career growth alongside hiring by offering entry to over 1,800 globally accredited brief courses.

At present, 4,620 participants have finished these programs, while 5,789 others are actively studying across various tracks.

Plans are also underway to build an automated mechanism that populates the portal with both government and private job openings. Setup and rollout are scheduled for the coming one-and-a-half to two months.

Additionally, a daily vacancy notification service is in development to keep applicants updated on freshly posted roles.
