Construction work has forced the closure of secondary runway 14L at Skardu International Airport for a period of 13 days.

A Notice to Airmen states that the construction activities on both edges of the runway run from October 20 until November 3.

Officials noted that the runway can open within an hour during an emergency if the crew coordinates with air traffic control.

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority released a fresh advisory directed at all aircraft captains.
