A 15-year-old boy named Waseem Abbas died after a speeding car struck him during an alleged chase inside a private housing society in Multan, police stated.
Law enforcement officers detained the primary suspect, a contractor named Touqeer Nazir, and confiscated the automobile. Authorities also filed a case and continue to examine the event.
Waseem had departed from his workplace prior to the pursuit by the contractor, law enforcement reported. Initially, the man chased the young boy on foot before following him in a vehicle alongside another individual named Amjad Ali.
The automobile collided with Waseem while the pursuit unfolded. The force threw him against the gate of a house, resulting in his death at the location, police explained.
Nazir stated during his initial questioning that Waseem studied electrical work under his supervision. He alleged the youth departed from the job without authorization, mentioning that he drove after Waseem to halt and catch him.
Jawad Haider, who administers the orphanage, noted that Waseem resided at the institution and was an orphan. He added that the boy was sent to Nazir to acquire electrical skills.
Originally from Muzaffargarh, the teenager's death is still under active investigation by police officers looking into the full context.
