Ufone and Telenor Pakistan partnered with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to organize an executive knowledge-sharing event called Zero Trust in a Hyperconnected Telecom Environment at their headquarters. The gathering aimed to examine practical methods for improving digital security across growing network connections, drawing attendees from regulatory bodies, telecom companies, security firms, universities, and technical fields.

Discussions centered on growing digital security threats as networks connect more users, systems, services, and outside parties. Specialists stressed the need to move past standard perimeter defenses by adopting methods that check access, improve governance, handle privileged permissions, and protect vital telecom systems.

Mr. Mukarram Khan, who serves as DG PTA Cyber Vigilance, delivered opening remarks. This was followed by technical presentations covering emerging threats, Zero Trust deployment, and maintaining security over time. The Ufone and Telenor Pakistan Cybersecurity Team displayed their technical knowledge during interactive sessions, alongside keynote speeches from security expert Tauseef Aslam and other sector leaders.

An audience question and answer segment and a knowledge quiz allowed attendees to swap viewpoints and discuss hands-on experiences.

Organizers stressed that digital security in telecommunications is a shared duty needing cooperation between regulators, providers, and the broader market. Speakers noted that Zero Trust functions as an ongoing process of checking access and updating controls rather than a single technology installation or product.

Shan ul Haq, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for Ufone and Telenor Pakistan, stated, As telecom networks become more interconnected, building trust into how users, devices and systems access services is increasingly important. Through this workshop, Ufone and Telenor Pakistan and PTA brought industry stakeholders together to exchange practical experience and strengthen our collective understanding of Zero Trust. Collaboration and continuous improvement are essential to building a more secure and resilient telecom ecosystem.

The event allowed Ufone and Telenor Pakistan to reiterate their dedication to digital safety, dependable network operations, and ongoing talks with regulators and peers to maintain continuous connectivity.
