Apple device owners running WhatsApp beta for iOS version 26.42.10.19 via TestFlight are now able to test the new scheduled messages tool, which follows prior trials on Android. Additional participants will gain access in the coming weeks.
Development on the function began by at least February. Earlier this month, WhatsApp initiated testing for specific Android beta participants. The platform is now bringing the trial to iOS users, while the public launch schedule stays unannounced.
How Scheduled Messages Work
Operation matches the Android version. Customers draft a note and press and hold the send button to launch a date and time menu. Following time selection, individuals lock in the arrangement via the green button located at the bottom, which shows the precise dispatch time.
The platform permits scheduling notes between 10 minutes and two weeks ahead. Dispatches arrive at the designated hour even if the sender phone lacks internet connectivity. A notice displaying the queued note shows up inside the conversation, visible exclusively to the sender.
Participants can queue text, links, pictures, and video clips. Still, every queued entry permits only one image or video. For media files, individuals must press and hold the send button inside the drawing editor.
Scheduled Messages Can Be Deleted Before Delivery
Every queued communication relies on end-to-end encryption. Customers can locate them inside a special area within the chat details panel. From that spot, individuals can erase a queued note prior to dispatch. WhatsApp sends no alert to receivers if a queued note gets deleted.
Group conversations carry one extra restriction. A queued note reaches solely those individuals belonging to the circle when the author arranged it. Anyone entering the group later fails to get that note.
WhatsApp has given no word regarding a public release date for iOS or Android. The tool might require additional weeks of evaluation ahead of a broader release. At present, availability stays restricted to chosen beta participants.
