Bestway Group formally presented Chinese vehicle manufacturer Geely Auto to Pakistan during a ceremony in Park View City, Islamabad, attended by founder Sir M. Anwar Pervez, Chairman Lord Zameer Choudrey, senior executives from both firms, industry leaders, distinguished guests and media representatives. The event signals Bestway's entry into the auto sector, bringing Geely's engineering know-how, technology and model lineup to local consumers.

Bestway Automotive, designated as Geely's exclusive authorized distributor in the country, will manage the brand's rollout, covering sales and after-sales services. The collaboration also sets the stage for domestic assembly, with Bestway readying its Karachi facility for the next phase of operations.

Central to the launch is Geely Auto's worldwide brand mantra, "See the World in Full", which conveys the idea that mobility extends beyond simple transport to richer experiences and broader horizons. This outlook guides Geely's inclusive mobility strategy, merging engineering, technology and design to let people enjoy more of their surroundings.

Irfan Sheikh, Group Managing Director for Non-Banking Businesses at Bestway Group, Pakistan, remarked, "Tonight is a proud moment for everyone at Bestway. This partnership brings together two organisations with complementary strengths, with Bestway drawing on decades of experience in investing in and building businesses in Pakistan, and Geely bringing its global expertise in the automotive industry. We are delighted to introduce three Geely models to the Pakistani market - the EX2, EX5 and Starray EM-R. Their unveiling marks an exciting first step in this journey. Our aim is to have locally assembled Geely vehicles on Pakistan's roads within the next few months. We see tremendous potential in this partnership and are committed to establishing Geely as a recognised and trusted name in Pakistan."

The trio of models targets varied transport needs: the Geely EX2 is a compact fully electric hatchback suited for city use, the EX5 is a fully electric SUV, and the Starray EM-R employs a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) system that pairs electric propulsion with an onboard petrol engine.

Haider Choudrey, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bestway Group, said, "Geely's arrival marks an important milestone in Bestway's longstanding commitment to Pakistan. Through its investments in sectors such as cement manufacturing and banking, Bestway has invested more than $350 million in Pakistan, creating over 20,000 jobs and supporting livelihoods in the last three years alone. With Bestway Automotive, we are extending this commitment to the automotive sector. Our partnership with Geely will open up opportunities for local manufacturing, employment generation, skills development and a stronger automotive supply chain, while offering Pakistani consumers greater choice and access to global automotive technology."

Evin Ye, Vice President of GAIC and Managing Director of Geely Auto ASEAN, added, "Pakistan is our first market in South Asia, and we see significant potential here. We are delighted to begin this journey with Bestway, a partner that understands the market and shares our commitment to customers. This is much more than a business arrangement; it is a long-term commitment to grow together, strengthen customer support and bring safe, intelligent and high-quality mobility to Pakistani families."

Through this alliance, Bestway and Geely intend to forge enduring customer ties and aid the growth of Pakistan's automotive industry.
