Developer Bungie and Sony are giving Destiny 2 a major lifeline after fans previously feared updates would stop following the June Monument of Triumph patch. Studio Head Poria Torkan and General Manager Josh Deane stated plans to revive the looter-shooter game.

The studio is bringing back all previously removed content for players at no cost. The upcoming update brings back the Red War campaign, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and old areas such as Io and Titan. Bungie stated that restoring everything will take time, but the team stays dedicated to the project. Developers also released a patch to fix ongoing backend problems.

Bungie is Actively Hiring for Destiny 2

Bungie is opening new jobs after a previous wave of layoffs that removed 400 positions. A job posting for a remote Senior UX Designer under a contract appeared in the United States, listing the position as an Interaction Designer. The listing tasks the new worker with building player interactions in Destiny 2.

The duties focus on using UX design methods to test and explain the player experience. The new employee will conduct player interviews, build flow diagrams, run playtesting, and make high fidelity mockups while setting guidelines for the team. This hiring push shows the studio is working on its new plans.

A Destiny 1 Remaster Approaches

A third game is not confirmed yet, though a fan petition for Destiny 3 passed 410,000 signatures. Bungie has not approved a sequel, choosing to work with existing resources instead. General Manager Josh Deane teased a Destiny 1 remaster last week, which will include a PC port.
