Efforts to enhance planned urban development in the capital have prompted the Capital Development Authority to accelerate infrastructure projects, road networks, and civic amenities across residential sectors E-12, I-12, and C-14.

CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf inspected ongoing operations in Sector E-12 on Friday, where he evaluated progress and instructed responsible officers to speed up the tasks.

More than 1,000 kanals of state land worth billions of rupees was reclaimed in Sector E-12, according to the authority, which termed the recovery a vital measure for safeguarding public assets and aiding orderly growth.

Future infrastructure projects and civic amenities will rely on the recovered property, although officials omitted any completion schedule or specifics regarding amenities for inhabitants.

Meanwhile, work proceeds in sectors I-12 and C-14, with the CDA concentrating on residential amenities and infrastructure.

To assist commuters and enhance travel routes, the agency is building and repairing roads, upgrading major transit networks, and constructing underpasses and pedestrian bridges.

Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi ordered these projects, which are monitored by the CDA chairman.

During the Friday inspection, the chairman was joined by the director general of works, the chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, the additional deputy commissioner of general affairs, the project director, and the local assistant commissioner.

Additional projects mentioned by the authority involve Park Enclave, green spaces, water bodies, horticulture, and general environmental enhancements meant to upgrade public areas.

Resident satisfaction with the sector development will depend on whether essential services, functional roads, and necessary infrastructure are delivered on time.

Ongoing improvements to amenities and infrastructure throughout Islamabad will persist, the CDA confirmed.
