Islamabad authorities instructed staff to immediately reclaim 898 kanals of state-owned property located in Mouza Shah Allah Ditta, which was originally designated for a landfill and controlled dumping area but currently faces unauthorized occupation.
Muhammad Zaman Wattoo, Member Estate CDA, told personnel to provide a fresh assessment regarding the physical control of the real estate and pinpoint individuals accountable for failing to safeguard the public assets.
The directives came through an official memo written on October 15, 2026, stemming from a notice sent by the Islamabad and Rawalpindi region of the National Accountability Bureau on October 8.
Based on the CDA document, NAB brought forward worries stemming from a grievance that claimed unlawful encroachment on the Shah Allah Ditta plot involving authority workers, civil servants, and outsiders.
CDA directs officials to recover occupied land
Wattoo told the Deputy Commissioner CDA to work alongside partner departments to launch prompt actions for reclaiming the tract and stopping any upcoming illegal control.
Staff members also received orders to fix accountability for the reported encroachment and name revenue officers along with other employees who neglected their responsibilities to guard the real estate.
The organization wants a fresh breakdown regarding physical possession as leadership works to tackle the alleged takeover of the zone meant for a garbage disposal and managed dumping station.
The CDA instructions arrive after the NAB message addressing the grievance. The accusations stay part of an ongoing investigation and have not been confirmed as proven misconduct based on current data.
