A government handout revealed that Punjab registered a 43 percent surge in animal exports, having made 400,000 animals ready for export over a twelve-month period while rural livestock breeders anticipate earnings totaling Rs. 11 billion.

Out of those shipments, officials noted that 129,581 animals came from the Livestock Card initiative. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduced this program, which grants agricultural producers Rs. 27,000 for every animal to cover fodder and feed costs.

Eight Foot-and-Mouth Disease compartments have been officially designated by provincial authorities to aid shipments going to the United States, Europe, and China, with seven additional ones scheduled for creation during the current year.

Authorities intend to construct five commercial and corporate feedlots, five contemporary slaughterhouses, five meat-processing plants, and meat-packing facilities.

Financing subsidies amounting to Rs. 19 billion will be provided by the administration for integrated livestock value-chain projects. Furthermore, the meat value chain anticipates attracting Rs. 65 billion in private sector funding.

A public-private partnership will establish the initial Foot-and-Mouth Disease vaccine manufacturing facility in Punjab, backed by Rs. 28 billion in private funding.

The Livestock Connect platform successfully connected 1,725 fattening farms to 20 export abattoirs, 34 meat traders, and 88 meat exporters.

Registration numbers for rural female farmers under the Livestock Card initiative grew from 90 up to 1,107.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated that the administration wanted to enhance agriculturalists' connectivity with global online marketplaces and domestic exporters.
