Nearly 55,000 children lack access to education in Diamer district, according to Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain during his trip to Chilas.

While speaking to a public gathering, he called this educational deficit a pressing regional issue and stated that home-based schools will merge into the public education network to expand schooling for kids in isolated valleys.

The chief minister labeled Diamer the least developed district in GB and admitted previous failures regarding resource utilization. He promised increased accountability and transparency for upcoming development initiatives.

Additionally, he revealed plans to form the Diamer Development Authority to speed up development programs and guarantee that local residents receive the advantages.

Water and Power Development Authority will handle Safe City, water supply, and sewerage projects, while the provincial administration committed to rigorous monitoring.

Medical services will see the hiring of over 50 doctors via the Special Pay Scale, and the Regional Headquarters Hospital in Chilas will receive upgrades to fix service gaps and staff shortages.

The chief minister stated that 500 police posts will be set aside solely for people living in Diamer, noting that WAPDA also revealed 400 positions for locals.
