Karachi authorities from the Federal Investigation Agency's Anti-Human Trafficking Circle returned Rs1.1 million to a resident conned by a fake Canadian immigration scheme, while also detaining a suspect in a separate Bahrain work visa smuggling operation on Sunday.

An agency representative stated that a fraudulent immigration agent collected Rs1.1 million from complainant Ajmal Khan after promising to secure his relocation to Canada.

Authorities recovered the funds throughout the inquiry phase and handed them back to the victim. Officials noted that the team safeguarded the complainant's interests while handling the legal process according to standard regulations.

During a separate operation, the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle took Yaseen Khan into custody under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Smuggling of Migrants Act, 2018. Early inquiries revealed he promised a Bahrain employment permit to a local resident for Rs800,000, collecting Rs520,000 upfront.

Authorities blocked the traveler from leaving the country after noticing red flags regarding the travel document, sending the case to the circle for further inquiry.

The agency mentioned that inquiries are ongoing to uncover all details and track down other possible accomplices. Officials reaffirmed their dedication to shielding residents from overseas job and immigration scams, promising strict legal measures against human traffickers.
