Japanese computer manufacturer Thirdwave introduced the Galleria NSC5L-IG-C4, a 14-inch laptop for creators that tips the scales at only 1 kg. Available exclusively in Japan, the machine debuted at Dospara locations on October 15 with a starting price of ¥149,980, which translates to about $949 or Rs. 265,700.

An Intel Core Ultra 5 125U processor powers the Galleria NSC5L, bringing 12 cores and 14 threads to the system. NotebookCheck calculates that this CPU operates roughly 15% to 20% slower than newer Intel Core Ultra 5 325 chips. Memory configurations scale up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, while an M.2 slot accommodates up to 2 TB of NVMe storage. Four-core Intel integrated graphics are also built into the machine.

Visuals are handled by a 14-inch screen featuring a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The matte display reproduces 100% of the sRGB color gamut to suit color-accurate creative tasks. Thirdwave obtained Wacom certification for the hardware, and the illustration variant includes bundled copies of CLIP STUDIO PAINT DEBUT.

Physical connections include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports equipped with DisplayPort 1.4 and 65W Power Delivery. The hardware also provides a single USB 3.2 Type-A port, an HDMI output, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless options cover Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.

Measuring 314 x 219 x 22mm, the chassis houses a fingerprint reader compatible with Windows Hello. The full-size keyboard incorporates quiet keys and a 19mm key pitch. Battery performance under the JEITA 3.0 standard extends up to 9.9 hours during idle periods, decreasing to 6.4 hours when playing video.

Four distinct configurations are available from Thirdwave, offering choices between 16 GB and 32 GB of RAM alongside creative software bundles for artists. These specifications position the Galleria NSC5L for creative professionals seeking a portable workstation. Official purchasing channels remain unavailable to customers outside Japan.
