Federal Investigation Agency officers blocked three travellers from boarding an aircraft at Multan International Airport because authorities suspected they intended to reach Europe unlawfully via Azerbaijan.
FlyDubai flight FZ-326 was carrying the individuals from Multan to Azerbaijan. Staff flagged their travel histories during Thursday immigration screening on October 22, 2026, sending them aside for deep interrogation.
Authorities named the travellers as Hafiz Muhammad Asif, Tariq Bashir and Muhammad Ilyas. Officers inspected text messages on their mobile phones and asked questions regarding their journey. Preliminary findings suggested the group planned to travel through Azerbaijan before moving on to Serbia and additional European nations.
The documentation showed the trio gave travel fixers located in Vehari an amount of Rs600,000 for tickets and visas. Plans involved handing over the remaining balance once they arrived.
Authorities transferred the trio to the Multan Anti-Human Trafficking Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency for deeper inquiries and potential legal proceedings following the interrogation.
The Immigration Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency inspects traveller papers and fights unlawful movement, tackling issues like fraudulent paperwork and deceptive travel details. The inquiry will set the path forward for the matter.
