Vivo announced that its new Y600 smartphone will be released in China on October 30, with pre-orders beginning early next week. The device is said to house a 10,000mAh battery and will sit alongside the Vivo Y600 Pro, Y600 Turbo and Y600i.

Earlier this month the model appeared on the Google Play Console, suggesting an imminent launch. Vivo has now provided further details before the official rollout and claims the Y600 set a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous smartphone livestream, running for 32 hours and 37 minutes on August 11.

The phone is shown in two colour variants, sports a dual rear-camera layout and looks similar to the recently released vivo S2 FE, prompting speculation it may be a rebranded S2 FE.

A tipster reports the Y600 could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor, include a 50MP main rear camera and carry an IP68 dust-and-water resistance rating, though Vivo has not confirmed these specs. Further information is expected as the October 30 launch draws near.
