Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf said his primary duty is to dismiss batters, stressing the need for speed in his bowling.
Speaking to media during a team practice in Lahore, he mentioned that giving away sixes is a normal part of the game, as every bowler experiences it.
Rauf credited domestic cricket with improving his fitness, restoring his rhythm and getting him ready for the demands of international play.
He admitted his fitness once fell short of Test requirements but said he hopes to earn a spot in Pakistan's longest format eventually.
The bowler also pointed out that taking wickets in the middle overs can help a side control the opponent's scoring and build pressure.
His remarks underscored his aim to maintain pace, improve performance and add to Pakistan's bowling strength across formats.
