Racing expert Templegate is back with selections for Wednesday meetings, highlighting his top bets across the racecards.
GRAND CONQUEROR (3.42 Fontwell, nap).
He has maintained a solid record over hurdles and ran well at Fakenham back in May. Several runners finishing behind him have claimed victories since, and the hopeful trained by Neil Mulholland performs strongly following a break. He stays this distance on any ground and returns carrying just a 1lb higher mark.
DARING PLAN (4.17 Fontwell, nb)
He won at Uttoxeter during June and came back from a four-month absence with an easy victory at Newton Abbot. He competes from the identical rating with a capable 7lb claimer riding.
RIDGER (8.30 Kempton, treble)
Another contender with strong prospects of securing a third straight victory. He scored a clear win over course and distance previously, and a 5lb weight increase is balanced by Oisin Murphy taking the ride.
