Playing at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Pakistan defeated England by 87 runs to claim their second victory in the ongoing ODI tri-series.

Arafat Minhas led the charge with both bat and ball, hitting a fifty and taking six wickets as England fell to 215 all out in 38.4 overs while pursuing a target of 303.

Pakistan endured a terrible start when Gus Atkinson removed Fakhar Zaman on the very first delivery of the game.

Saim Ayub and Babar Azam tried to steady the innings through a 31-run partnership, but Sonny Baker sent Saim packing for eight runs off six balls.

Babar departed next after making 34 runs from 52 balls, hitting four boundaries, as Will Jacks dropped Pakistan to 59-3 in 14.2 overs.

Salman Ali Agha, who hit a century in the opening fixture, also failed to make an impact, getting dismissed by Adil Rashid for 16 runs off 19 balls.

Hasan Nawaz and Saad Baig then stabilized the score with a 51-run stand before Atkinson got rid of Saad for 35 runs off 54 balls, leaving Pakistan at 133-5 in 27.3 overs.

Nawaz kept fighting alongside Minhas, adding 78 runs for the sixth wicket to push Pakistan past 200 runs.

He reached his second straight ODI fifty before Jamie Overton bowled him for 79 runs off 74 balls, an effort that included five fours and four sixes.

Minhas then partnered with Faheem Ashraf, and the duo contributed 72 runs to put Pakistan into a stronger position.

The left-hander reached his fifty prior to Baker dismissing him for 59 runs off 58 deliveries, featuring nine boundaries, which brought Pakistan to 283-7 after 48 overs.

Faheem also chipped in with 39 runs from just 25 balls, hitting five fours and one six, before Sam Curran sent him back.

Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi hit consecutive boundaries to bring Pakistan to 294-8 after 49 overs.

Baker removed Naseem Shah for one run in the final over, closing Pakistan's innings at 302-9, with Shaheen staying not out on 10 and Haris Rauf on four.

Baker finished as the top English bowler with 3-65 from nine overs, while Atkinson took two wickets, and Jacks, Overton, Rashid, and Curran secured one wicket each.

Chasing the target, England started strongly as openers Tom Banton and Ben Duckett stitched together a 91-run stand.

Haris Rauf delivered the initial breakthrough for Pakistan in the 15th over, sending Duckett back for 45 runs off 46 balls with eight boundaries.

Banton maintained his strong form and notched his third ODI fifty before Minhas removed him for 57 runs off 53 deliveries, hitting five fours and two sixes.

That wicket dropped England to 120-2 in 18.3 overs, and Minhas struck again in the 21st over to dismiss captain Harry Brook for only five runs.

Joe Root and Sam Curran attempted a recovery, taking England beyond the 150-run mark prior to Naseem Shah bowling Root for 33 runs off 35 balls, leaving the visitors at 165-4 in 28.5 overs.

Rauf then claimed the wicket of Curran for 27 runs off 39 balls as Pakistan increased pressure on the English middle order.

Minhas returned to dismiss Jordan Cox for 18 runs off 16 balls, putting England at 197-6 in 34.5 overs, before removing Jamie Overton for a single run.

The all-rounder subsequently dismissed Will Jacks for 19 and Adil Rashid for a first-ball duck on back-to-back deliveries to seal his second five-wicket haul in ODI matches.

He also ran out Gus Atkinson following a mix-up between the batters to conclude England's innings and seal a comfortable win for Pakistan.

Minhas ended with stellar bowling figures of 6-40 from 8.4 overs, while Rauf took two wickets and Naseem claimed one.
