Huawei began accepting pre-orders for the Pura 90 Plus in China at 10:08 AM China time through its VMall online store, Experience Stores, and authorized retailers, while also releasing the phone's first official teaser ahead of its launch next week and deliveries expected to begin before November 8. The device expands the Pura 90 family, which originally launched in April 2026 with the Pura 90, Pura 90 Pro, and Pura 90 Pro Max, and early buyers get exclusive benefits.

Design and Display

The teaser reveals the Pura 90 Plus in Sunset Purple, which is a gradient finish of purple and orange also found on the Pura 90 Pro Max. The smartphone keeps the lineup's inverted triangular camera module positioned in the upper-right corner of the back panel. Unlike the flat-edged Pura 90, Pura 90 Pro, and Pura 90 Pro Max, the Plus variant comes with a curved frame and a rounded rear panel akin to the Pura 80 Pro. Leaks indicate the device will sport a 6.8-inch screen with 1.5K resolution.

Performance and Hardware

Carrying the reported codename Lucia, the Huawei Pura 90 Plus is anticipated to house the Kirin 9020 chipset. Reports state the processor contains eight CPU cores operating at frequencies of 2.5GHz, 2.15GHz, and 1.6GHz, coupled with a Maleoon 920 GPU. Yet, Huawei has not provided official confirmation regarding the chipset or other hardware details.

Camera Setup

Leaks suggest the Pura 90 Plus might pack a 50MP main camera featuring a 1-inch RYYB sensor and a physical variable aperture. The RYYB sensor employs yellow pixels instead of specific green pixels to gather extra light, and the variable aperture lets users manage light intake and depth of field. The rumored camera configuration includes a 50MP main unit with a 1-inch RYYB sensor, a 48MP macro telephoto, a 40MP ultrawide, a 1.5MP multispectral additional sensor, and updated XMAGE algorithm imaging technology. Huawei is additionally said to be working on an upgraded version of its XMAGE image-processing software.

Price and Availability

Huawei has not disclosed the official cost of the Pura 90 Plus. The device is projected to place itself between the standard Pura 90 and the Pura 90 Pro within the series, where the base Pura 90 begins at roughly $704 and the Pura 90 Pro starts at around $823. Huawei will disclose the full specifications, pricing, and availability during its launch event next week, and its rumored hardware specifications are currently unconfirmed.
