Hubco stated that its BYD vehicle assembly plant in Pakistan stays on schedule to start operations before the close of 2026, pushing back against rumors of a setback.
Brokerage firm Arif Habib Limited reported that the business targets a starting monthly volume of 1,000 to 1,500 units while output scales up step by step.
At the start, the factory will rely fully on imported parts and materials, while new vehicle models will roll out gradually.
Over time, the firm intends to boost domestic production and reach up to 80% local content, aiding the growth of the automotive sector in Pakistan.
