Officials at the Ministry of Housing and Works established December 31, 2026, as the final date to distribute plot possession for Blocks A, B and D within the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority project known as Sky Garden in Islamabad, while instructing staff to speed up construction and clear outstanding hurdles.
A representative for the housing authority told APP that Secretary Housing and Works Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Mahmood gave these instructions while inspecting the site alongside FGEHA Director General Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal and Chaudhry Ismail, who represents the joint venture partner.
Construction activities for Package-I across the three designated blocks have reached their final phases, according to the spokesperson, who noted that crews are currently handling finishing touches on the site containing 4,255 total plots, with 2,470 already assigned to owners.
Workers are actively resolving remaining technical and administrative challenges to finish the development on schedule, the representative stated.
Furthermore, the housing secretary instructed staff to guarantee that essential amenities, such as functional sewerage and drainage networks, are fully installed prior to transferring ownership to buyers.
Secretary Mahmood pointed out that simply meeting the handover date is inadequate, insisting that residents receive a fully serviced community infrastructure.
The secretary plans to inspect the site again to monitor construction progress and verify that his instructions are carried out, the spokesperson mentioned.
Director General Zafar Iqbal promised full administrative, financial, and technical backing to finish the development on time, the representative concluded.
