Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will launch the newly revived 167-bed Margalla Hospital in Islamabad this week, delivering complimentary surgical, medical, and diagnostic care to people living in the capital and nearby regions. The facility previously sat idle for multiple years before being brought back through a philanthropic alliance with Indus Hospital and Health Network.

Preparations for the opening event were examined during a session led by Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal, with participation from the health ministry joint secretary and additional officials.

According to Kamal, bringing the center back into operation will decrease patient strain on large hospitals in Islamabad and expand healthcare availability for numerous citizens. He labeled the collaboration an illustration of open governance, public duty, and proper utilization of state assets.

The minister noted that authorities are implementing concrete steps to enhance public medical infrastructure. Sick individuals will receive care at no cost once the location begins operating under the joint agreement.
