Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi revealed at the Saudi-Pak Real Estate Expo that Islamabad will see a Manhattan-style development that includes luxury hotels, shopping malls and residential complexes.
He added that prime plots will be put up for auction in December and offered to investors at no cost, provided they meet development conditions.
The site for the project lies directly behind the Prime Minister's House, and investors must finish their projects within three years of receiving approval, with each building required to rise at least 600 feet.
A one-window system will also be introduced to aid investors and simplify the development process.
