Starting Monday, October 19, the Islamabad Traffic Police will roll out digital services for learner permits, licence renewals, and duplicate licences, letting locals submit requests from home rather than traveling to police stations.
A police spokesperson stated that the program stems from instructions issued by Islamabad Inspector General of Police Captain (retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry aimed at enhancing public ease and broadening digital offerings.
Citizens can use the Islamabad Traffic Police web portal to access these options. Beginning October 19, officials will stop handling physical applications for these specific services at the Traffic Headquarters in Faizabad and other police facilitation centers.
Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan announced that TCS courier services will ship renewed and duplicate permits straight to the doorsteps of applicants. She noted that the system cuts out pointless trips to police stations, saves time, and simplifies the procedure.
Khan urged users to enter their complete names, correct home addresses, and working mobile numbers during the digital submission process. She cautioned that faulty or missing address details may result in shipping delays.
She mentioned that the Islamabad Traffic Police stay dedicated to delivering user-friendly digital systems, placing public ease and time-saving at the forefront of their goals.
