A judicial magistrate in Karachi's East District issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Dania Shah on a case concerning the alleged spread of private videos belonging to the late television personality Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Police must arrest Dania Shah and bring her to the upcoming hearing, according to court directives cited in media reports.

Her legal counsel informed the magistrate during the session that she missed the date because of sickness. The defence asked for an attendance exemption, but the judge turned down the request.

The magistrate showed annoyance at her failure to attend and instructed officials to bring her in. The hearing was postponed until October 28, 2026.

A complaint brought forward by the daughter of Aamir Liaquat under cybercrime legislation in Pakistan triggered the case. The daughter blamed Dania Shah for taking part in sharing the private footage of her deceased father.

Judicial proceedings are ongoing, and the court has not delivered a final judgment yet.
